Beretta 92 FS 9mm Centerfire Pistol
Beretta 92 FS 9mm Centerfire Pistol series of semiautomatic pistols operates on a short recoil, delayed blowback system, which yields; faster cycle times, exceptional accuracy, and greater reliability. Double/Single action provides a very safe and time-proven design. High-capacity steel magazines are durable and drop-free when the magazine button is depressed, even when empty. Chrome-lined barrels provide extreme corrosion resistance, as well as ease of cleaning. Barrels also feature a deeply recessed combat muzzle crown to protect the rifling.
- Open Slide Design: Open top slide virtually eliminates jamming and stove piping. Allows the user to load and chamber one cartridge at a time should the magazine be lost or damaged.
- Disassembly Latch: Simplifies field stripping for maintenance by allowing quick and easy disassembly. Stays on the gun, preventing accidental dropping and loss.
- Visible Automatic Firing Pin Block: The front part of the firing pin is blocked from any forward movement until the trigger is pulled completely back. The block is located rearward, far away from the fouling and debris of the breech face. Since the block is visible, the user may ascertain its proper operation at any time. Even if the pistol falls and strikes the ground muzzle down, the firing pin will not strike the primer.
- Rear Sight Profile: The rear sight is designed to provide a front projection so that in an emergency, the user may retract the slide single-handedly by pushing the rear sight against the edge of a table, door, etc.
- External Hammer Design: A traditional feature of Beretta pistols, this design provides the energy to the firing pin, virtually eliminating the possibility of misfires due to light primer. Also provides an immediate visual and tactile indicator as to the cocked/uncocked status of the pistol.
- No Glare Finish: Beretta’s exclusive BrunitonTM non-reflective black coating is a superior corrosion and wear-resistant finish.
- Light Aluminum Frame: Each pistol features a lightweight, forged frame made from extremely strong aircraft-quality aluminum alloy.
- Reversible Magazine Release: Positioned next to the trigger guard for either right or left-handed shooters, allowing rapid reloading. Magazine drops clear when released.
- Unique Ultra Safe Design: The ambidextrous safety lever, easily accessible by the thumb of a right or left-handed shooter, is spring-loaded so it’s either positively on or off. The safety lever also functions as the pistol decocking lever. When pushed down, the rear part of the firing pin (striker) is rotated out of alignment with the front part of the firing pin. Additional hammer drop catch (half-cock notch prevents striking of the firing pin unit) in the remote chance of unintentional hammer drop.
- High-Capacity Magazines: The 92 family magazines are interchangeable within the caliber, and range in capacity from 10 to 20 rounds in 9mm.
The Beretta 92FS, designated M9 by the U.S. Military, not only meets or exceeds all U.S. Military testing guidelines, it totally rewrites them. One of the most tested and trusted personal defense weapons in history.

Built around Beretta® PX4 modular technology, the Beretta PX4 Storm™ Semi-Auto Pistol delivers rapid shots with precise accuracy due to its ergonomic design and unique action. The PX4 utilizes a rotating barrel locking system that reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise by releasing recoil energy radially. The corrosion-resistant fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame comes with 3 interchangeable backstraps to obtain a proper fit according to the individual shooter’s hand. Non-slip texturing on the grip also aids in weapon control. An integral Picatinny rail provides rapid attachment of tactical lights and laser aiming devices. The PX4 Storm is a double/single-action semi-automatic pistol with an external hammer. The ambidextrous safety doubles as a decocking lever. White, 3-dot sights provide quick sight acquisition in varied lighting. The gun’s chrome-lined barrel resists corrosion and requires less maintenance. An aesthetic evolution of the proven 92FS, the Inox edition features a bead-blasted stainless steel slide and barrel. This not only provides protection against the elements but a clean refined look. The forged, aerospace-grade, 7075-T6 aluminum alloy frame is anodized to match the finish of the stainless steel slide and barrel, making for a perfect pairing. Stippled rubber grips contrast the smooth satin finish, offering a positive grip even in the harshest and wettest conditions. The same accuracy, reliability, and battle-proven features of the standard 92FS remain, providing for the best of both worlds in a full-size pistol. Like the standard 92FS, the magazine release can easily be reversed and the safety/decocker is fully ambidextrous for right or left-handed use. Though nicely appointed, the Inox is ready for work in harsh conditions, it is beautiful and practical at its best.
Designed for performance, built for battle, and trusted the world over, the 92FS delivers every time, everywhere.

A solid and reliable pistol. I love and feel of it. Easy to use and to shoot. I love my Baretta 92FS

Purchased new Beretta 92fs 9mm on Sept.8, 2022. Defective out of the box, slide required abnormal force to cock,Test firing at Shoot Straight confirmed jams. Returned to Beretta on Sept 10, 2022, per warranty following direction from Beretta tech. rep. Gun still with you guys till today ( October 31, 2022), status awaiting parts. I was told gun needs a new slide. Beretta can’t get a part for one of their most popular guns? Really? Reps. can’t even give a ballpark estimate for the repair. Beretta shows no accountability or concern for a customer for whom they created the problem due to their defective product.

I was issued an M-9 in the late 80s while active duty. Retired in 95, worked for Navy as a cop, issued M-9 can carried another 9 years. I had already purchased my own FS 92 before 95 and still have it. Attended Baretta Armorer class in Maryland, late 90’s. I find this pistol to be very reliable, easy to break down, clean and put back together. It is a big heavy gun. No doubt. But it shoots well and little kick back while firing. Magazine release, good location, can be placed on right side for left handed shooters, but a tough nut to crack if you do not have a good sense of how to install it.
Decocking lever ambidextrous, but favors right handed shooters. Looking block can also be an issue if you are inexperience in reinstalling it, when removed. To me an old friend and excellent pistol. I have carried one either issued or personally owned since 1988.
Manuel Colunga-Hernandez –
I am happy with this pistol. Bought a rear sight tool and might exchange the rear sight – I love this pistol. Tight as a drum no slack but smooth to shoot. No problem racking, locking, loading magazines- don’t need my reloader on this! Out of the 6pistols I have owned of various armories, I am actually thinking of buying a second FS92- one for each of my two sons- I want them to have a reliable well-built piece of equipment. Baretta filled the bill. Improved my shot group with the first test shots. No comparison. Plan to change out the guide rod at some point and add in a repair kit(with barrel lock). I am going to be shooting this pistol, a lot

These are new in retail packaging. Gloss blue. Same ones that comes with many new guns so should function 100%
Robert Bailey –
Can never have enough 17rounds Baretta mags for your M9 and Baretta makes the best. I may even buy some more
Cameron Templin –
This is a fantastic addition to the 92 line up. Perfect for the Carry optics division in the USPSA. Very little felt recoil and it tracks very well. So glad Baretta made an option ready model of this gun.
ammorgunshop –
thank you for recommending our company to your friends and we hope you pass by some other time. WE CARE
Warren Canty –
Great firearm, very lite and very concealable
Steven Mulder –
It only took two trips to the range to confirm that I made the right choice when I purchased the 92X RDO Compact. It’s more accurate and manages recoil better than the striker fired pistol I traded in, and it’s my first hammer fired pistol! I am now thinking about getting a full size version too
Jay Danenberg –
After some major missteps by Baretta in regards to the optic mounting plates, when it finally happened I was very happy with the firearm. Terrific ergonomics and vastly improved trigger. In the end, an accurate and very comfortable firearm
Zack –
Bought a 92X a few months back. I have been using it regularly shoots great. Conceals better than you would think even for a full size, very accurate right out of the box. Very impressed will like buy 92X compact in the future just to have both sizes. Very pleased 😄
Ray Beasley –
Long time Baretta owner. Love my new 92X compact. No netter firearm than a Baretta
Scott W –
I have a Baretta 92a1 and these magazines fit my gun with no problem
Alex G Perez –
My first ever 92 series handgun and the more I shoot it the better it feels. Already mounted a Burris red dot, it looks great and highly improved accuracy. You can’t make mistake when getting one of this beauties. It performs to perfection.

I must say I am disappointed. I own Beretta pistols for over 20 years. I decided to update my CW pistol to a Beretta 92X. First day at the range the rear sight fly’s off, it took for ever to get a part replacement from Beretta. Second day at the range the gun starts jamming. Diagnostic indicates the clip (13 capacity) has a faulty spring. I have not contacted Beretta yet because is hard to spend 1 hr. on the phone or get return calls on time. The other issue with this new model is the grip. The grip is harsh, too harsh for a conceal weapon. It makes it very uncomfortable to carry this gun on any position since the grip is so harsh is constantly rubbing on you to the point it causes a laceration on the skin and it grabs on your shirt ( I ruined two shirts already) I need to find a better grip cover. The RDO is great but the parts they sent you are not the proper fit. You get the plate for free, but is not an easy install. Screws too long or too short.
