I have several AR rifles, but this is my first AR pistol. Couldn’t pass it up for the price, especially with the SB stabilizing brace. Cleaned and lubed it and took it to the range and fire 110 rounds through it without any problems
Half Fiocchi 55gr fmj and half Federal AE 55gr fmj. I only shot it at 50 yards, but with the primary Arms red dot, I was able to shoot 1¼ groups from a rest. Not bad for an old man with astigmatism.

Ruger has created a winner!! This is an excellent entry level AR pistol with all of the basic features in an AR pistol. The SB tactical SBA3 brace is excellent. Placed a vortex SPARC AR red dot and had it dialed in after a few rounds. Fired several hundred rounds of brass and a couple hundred steel cased rounds without any issues.
The only item I personally upgraded was the grip. This pistol is an excellent value and defines Ruger quality

This is my first AR. I was skeptical to say the least about getting a shorter AR. Several people at gun stores discouraged me from getting one. It was between the Saint Victor, and this one. They both were very close in overall length. So I went with the Ruger.
I’m glad I did, the extra 3 of the barrel proved to be a good choice. I would recommend this gun to anyone. You can’t beat the price, this is one of those rare instance where I got more than I paid for.

I purchased this in spring 2022. Best price from the ammorsportsmanshop. I have another full size AR but I shoot the Ruger 556 pistol more then the others. It’s a blast to shoot Iron sites with red dot. Very accurate to 75 yards. Still hitting steel target at 100 yards. You will not regret buying this pistol

Great pistol!! I have put 600 rounds through it and the only issues I had was that the gas block was loose. After I tightened it up with lock tight it ran flawlessly, great trigger, overall super happy with what Ruger did. 5 star ⭐ all day!!

Great firearm. Shoot anything you out through it. “Stabilizing brace” is perfect. No complaints!

Ordered Last week and it arrived today. That was faster than I anticipated with the backlog of orders right now. Great job ammorsportsmanshop. You have a customer for life. As for the pistol, Fantastic. Just put 200 rounds through it without issue. Accurate and reliable. Very happy customer

I just bought this gun and finally picked it up from my FFL gun shop. I bought the rifle home and bam, first thing there something wrong with the gun. The charging handle won’t unlock. I have to bang from behind to get the charging to come back out and that’s if it does come back out. This is ridiculous! I bought this gun and saw good reviews and now I’m unpleased with this product

My first AR pistol. Got for an awesome sale price. Fit and finish on this pistol is impressive for the price point. Fast shipping/ good buying experience

Ruger can be hit and miss on fit and finish and my particular 5.56 pistol does demonstrate some quality issues. When the pistol arrived, it had so much machine oil coming off of it that I had to spend a few hours taking it apart and wiping it down. The anodized finish is inconsistent and most of the surface areas feel abrasive or scuffed. The charging handle develops more friction resistance from the upper receiver than from the buffer spring. The dust cover does not seat properly into the upper receiver ejection port. It actually has some spring resistance causing it to slightly protrude from the ejection port. When I disassembled the BCG, I struggled to place the firing pin retaining pin back into position. After several minutes I took a file to the edge of the retaining pin and finally managed to get it back in. On a subsequint reassemble, the retaining pin broke. easy fix This issue has been noted by other owners. The trigger pull is heavy with a little too much creakiness imho. Now, if you’re looking for a bargain AR pistol that goes pew, pew, pew when you pull the trigger, this does meet the need. 340 rounds steel and brass without a hiccup so far, but not my first go to. :

I have a few ARs but like many, you cant just have one. So I thought I would give this Ruger a try. I had read good reviews, and thought it might be worth a run. IT WAS It handles well out of the box, I slapped some iron sights on it, and took it to the range. I can say my first 300 rounds, had better than expected groups considering it was the first time I took it out. I have taken it back a few times now, and I am very use to the trigger on this thing. I know people who rush to upgrade, but I am sticking with it the way it is. The brace is the only thing I didnt like. But I knew that when I bought it. I am not a fan of this type of brace because it just feels cheap. But that was a simple upgrade, and now this is one of my for sure range play toys.

Aside from the gallon of machine oil cascading out of every crevice of the gun, it works great! P.S. I highly recommend disassembling the rifle to dry up the excess oil. Use this opportunity to learn about the workings of your new firearm.
