Historically, Rifles only fired a single projectile with each trigger squeeze. Modern rifles are classified as a single shot, bolt action, semi-automatic, or automatic. It used copper rimfire cartridges stored in a removable seven-round tube magazine, which enabled the rounds to be fired. When the magazine was empty, it could be exchanged for another.
