Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 300 Blackout Custom Rifle

The Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 5.56mm NATO AR-type semi-automatic now joins the DDM4 lineup. It adds the MFR 15.0 rail, which is a free-floating M-LOK handguard making this the first DDM4 with M-LOK modular compatibility.

Both upper and lower receivers are machined of 7075-T6 aluminum and then Type III hard coat anodized.

The MFR 15.0 has the typical octagon with a raised roof cross-section. The structure’s roof is a full-length Picatinny rail for sights and optics. Also, the other seven directions are M-LOK slotted permitting you to attach a smorgasbord of accessories. It’s made of 6061-T6 aluminum and then Types III hard coat anodized.

Mostly hidden inside is a cold-hammer-forged 16” long chrome-moly Vanadium steel barrel. The barrel has a government-profile meaning it’s thick at the chamber, then narrows rapidly, which it maintains to the gas block. There it widens and then keeps the width to the muzzle.

This barrel also has a 1 to 7” twist that’s fronted by a DD flash suppressor screwed on to a 1/2″x28 TPI thread. The suppressor is made of 17-4 PH stainless steel and is given a tough, durable salt bath nitride finish. Also hidden in the crested octagonal handguard is the low-profile mid-length gas system that’s machined from 4140 steel.

The DDM4 V7 has ambidextrous controls such as the GRIP-N-RIP charging handle. It’s made of 7076-T6 aluminum. It is designed for suppressed fire and vents gases up and away from the operator’s face.

The gun’s total length is 32 1/4” to 35 7/8”, and it weighs 6.2 pounds. This is actually fairly lightweight, and it makes the arm easy to tote at the shooting range.

Daniel Defense (DD) creates many of its components in-house. So unsurprisingly, in the back is a tough six-position adjustable DD buttstock and at the bottom is a DD pistol grip. Both have a soft-touch overmolding and are made of glass-reinforced polymer.

Finally, the DDM4 V7 comes with a 32-round DD magazine and a DD high-impact resistant plastic case.
